The brief
To provide a 3D site envelope analysis for the site to illustrate the best potential for a tower and thereafter work with the architect to hone this envelope to create the tallest tower within the City of London.
The solution
Working with the architect on this scheme, sometimes nicknamed the 'Helter Skelter', we helped create a unique solution which minimised the impact to the neighbouring properties and left only a few Rights of Light issues requiring compensation deals. These were with owners that GIA considered would enter into an agreement for reasonable sums of money. All the agreements secured within budget and allowed the predecessors in title, DIFA, to sell the site cleanly to the current owners. Design work is in progress to ensure that the scheme can be developed within the next few years.
