Owen Street, Manchester

Renaker Developments has unveiled plans to build 1,400 apartments at the Owen Street car park site south of Manchester city centre.

The four tower scheme by Simpson Haugh and Partners will see a cluster of buildings of 37, 44, 50 and 66 storeys high. Once built, the 66 storey building will become the second tallest building in the UK, just six floors lower than the Shard in London. It will be two storeys taller than Manchester’s current tallest building, the Beetham Tower, and will transform Manchester’s skyline.
