Ropemaker Place

Ropemaker Place

Replacing the 1980s block by Covell  Matthews Wheatley, Arups design is acclaimed as a model of sustainable architecture with solar panels, rainwater harvesting and green roofs.  Six interlocking cubes, which form a staggered tower, have planted terraces at four levels.  The building boasts innovative cladding technology, with double glazing and extensive use of shading key to the low-energy strategy.
