To undertake internal and external building surveys at 70 properties in Reading. Surveys were carried out to ensure that no damage occurred to the properties prior to the commencement of external drilling works, which were needed to determine the location of redundant Victorian chalk mines. An additional survey was necessary to identify whether any damage had occurred to the property during drilling and, if so, to instruct necessary works to achieve a satisfactory reinstatement.
The site is in a predominantly residential area with a variety of new build and Victorian terraced houses and flats, some of which are listed.
