Set within an imposing building in Moorgate in the City of London, the brief was to bring the main reception of Moorgate Hall up to date.
It was a reception to pass through rather than be seen in with expensive unnecessary features to maintain such as large planters. Together with our sister company WISH London we worked closely with the client to ensure we kept to the tight budget.
All works had to be carried out at weekends in order to minimise disruption to the tenants and visitors.
Existing Carrera marble to the floors and walls was cleaned and formed the back drop on which to base the interior scheme of warm taupes and greens. The large cumbersome planters we removed, and replaced with inviting seating areas. WISH London procured the full FF&E including bespoke pieces of artwork. There were existing decorative panels that were retained and simply painted in a feature colour, to keep costs and long term maintenance down. New lighting was installed throughout, which immediately lifted what was a dark interior.
We managed the works on site, which had to be carefully programmed around the building tenants and visitors to minimise disruption, coordinating the works with the FF&E installation.
