The school identified that the layout of the existing servery equipment within a relatively new dining hall was poor in its layout and no longer fit for purpose. Our brief was to liaise with a Design and Build Contractor and Client through the design process and then project manage the installation of new servery equipment and a general refurbishment of the dining hall within the school summer holiday period.
Budget costs were agreed between the Design and Build contractor and the PFI funding team. Timing was critical as the funding had to be approved approximately 6 weeks prior to work starting due to the lead-in for the servery equipment. Once the funding had been approved, works started on time and were completed on budget and ahead of the agreed programme.
