Refurbishment of eight shop units located on Chiltern Street, London W1, the leases on which were about to expire. The properties were to be brought up to current standards, rewired, waterproofed at basement level and finished to a high standard for re-letting.
The shop units are located in Marylebone, within a conservation area. They provide retail space on ground floor and basement levels.
Task and Outcome
Selected specialist sub contractors to undertake waterproof tanking works to the basement vault areas
Liaised with neighbouring tenants regarding noise levels and managed relationships successfully
Liaised with other consultants including structural engineer and mechanical and electrical engineer
Took the project out to tender and appointed a contractor with proven experience
Undertook the contract administration role dealing with contract variations, valuations, progress updates and contractual issues
